Racing in the Pouring Down Rain, Together.

Racing in the Pouring Down Rain, Together.

Riverside’s cross country team ran their second race of the season Tuesday, on a woodsy—and very rainy–course in Packwood. Despite dealing with indoor practices and cancelled meets due to the smoke, the team has given their best through this first half of the season, and much success is to come.

Praying for rain to clear the smoke, the Lord answered their prayers plentifully as they raced in the pouring rain. With the girl’s team taking second place, the athletes did not let the weather conditions hold them back. Bounding over massive puddles, spraying water with every step, racing with cold muscles, and shivering through soaked clothes while still cheering every teammate on, Riverside’s cross country team is a literal example of the school year’s theme, and what it truly means to Run Together.
