PLAYOFF FEVER!!!

PLAYOFF FEVER!!!

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball Teams as they both finished in 2nd place in the Central Washington 1B League.

The boys, on a 5 game win streak, open District 6 play on Tuesday night at home against Moses Lake Christian Academy. The game starts at 6:00 p.m.

The girls have won 9 of their last 10 and open District 6 play on Wednesday night against Pateros. That game also starts at 6:00 p.m.

Because the District Tournament is double elimination with two allocations to state, win or lose, both teams will be in action on Thursday at Eastmont JH in Wenatchee. Game times will be determined by the outcome on Tuesday and Wednesday night. I have included both a boys’ and girls’ bracket to help you navigate this tournament.

Because this is WIAA tournament play, there are strict WIAA guidelines. No artificial noisemakers, no signs and all fans will have to pay at the door. This includes RCS students. The gate goes to the WIAA in District 6. For the single games at home on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, the prices are as follows:

Adults – $7.00
Students and Senior Citizens – $5.00

Because there are multiple games on Thursday and Friday at Eastmont JH, the price goes to $8 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, we are planning to clear the building at 4:15 p.m. when the office closes. The only students that should be remaining are those checked into daycare, the girls JH and girls’ varsity basketball teams who are practicing.

The front doors will open at 5:00 p.m. for the game at 6:00 p.m.

Thank you for your cooperation as we work to be a dependable venue for tournament play.

Come support the Crusaders,

Mr. Van Beek
