PLAYOFF FEVER SWEEPS RIVERSIDE

PLAYOFF FEVER SWEEPS RIVERSIDE
The post season is here!

In Wrestling….
For the first time in state history the regional wrestling tournaments have been cancelled due to the
expected inclement weather. That means that all wrestlers who have qualified for regional tournaments
will now have the opportunity to go straight to the state tournament.
For Riverside that means our district champions Nathan Bradford at 195 lbs. and JJ Dobie at 145 lbs. will
move straight to the state tournament scheduled for February 14, 15 and 16. Tournament site is the
Tacoma Dome in Tacoma.
In Basketball…
The Riverside Christian Varsity Girls placed second in the league meaning they host the first round of
playoffs against Pateros High School. That game is Tuesday night, Feb 12 at 6:00 p.m. The second round
game will be at Ephrata High School on Thursday. Game times depend on whether you win or lose.

The Riverside Christian Varsity Boys won the league title with a 9-1 record. They also host the first round
playoff game on Wednesday night, Feb. 13 at 6:00 p.m. against Entiat. Like the girls, the second round
game will be at Ephrata High School on Thursday.

PLEASE NOTE: Because this is a WIAA tournament event, all attendees pay at the gate. For Tuesday and
Wednesday nights it is $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students with an ASB card, children and senior
citizens. Riverside students who normally get in free will have to pay for this event.
On Thursday at Ephrata, because it is a two or more game event, the cost will be $8.00 for adults and
$6:00 for students with ASB card, children and senior citizens.
There is no streaming the event live, but it can be videotaped for future use. Mechanical or artificial
noisemakers are not permitted. Come out and support your Crusaders!
