Our tradition has been to glorify God by winning with class and losing with dignity. We desire to win, but only if in so doing we honor God. Such a tradition is worthy of the best efforts of all concerned. Over many years our squads have achieved league, district and state championships. Many individual have set records and won all-league honors.

2. Students must maintain a minimum G.P.A. (Grade point average) of 2.0. A student whose G.P.A. is below 2.0 but is passing all classes at the end of any quarter or semester will be placed on academic probation for a minimum of 3 weeks. If at the end of the probationary period the student has a minimum G.P.A. of 2.0 the student may then be reinstated for interscholastic competition. If at the end of the probationary period, the student fails to meet the required G.P.A. of 2.0 he/she will continue on probation until such time as his/her grade point average is improved to the acceptable standard of 2.0. While on probation, the student may participate in workouts, but will be ineligible to participate in contests.
3. For the entire subsequent quarter any student who has demonstrated academic deficiencies (ineligibility) will be required to take a weekly tracer to all teachers and present that tracer to the school administration before eligibility for the week will be granted.
The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (W.I.A.A.) requires student/athletes to maintain passing grades in a minimum of 5 classes in a 7 period day. Athletes at RCS must meet the aforementioned requirement.
Prior to the first practice for participation in interscholastic athletics in junior high or high school, a student shall undergo a thorough medical examination and be approved for interscholastic competition by a medical authority licensed to perform a physical examination. This exam shall be good for two calendar years.
