What is your favorite memory from your time at RCS?

I loved missions class with Mr. Herring. It allowed us to find ways to serve our community each day in 7th period.

How did RCS prepare you for your future?

Riverside helped me find who I am. I came in during my 10th grade year with a lot of brokenness and things going on in my family. Everyone welcomed me with open arms and showed me the love of God. Because of this, I had time to grow into who God desired me to be. There is no greater preparation I could have received for my future.

In what ways did RCS train you to be “rooted in Christ?”

The teachers and staff at RCS led the way in exampling a Christ-filled life. I learned to be rooted in Christ through the close-knit, loving community, with teachers who understood who I was in Christ and how to lead me.

What do you appreciate about Riverside Christian now that you have graduated?

RCS provided a place for me to grow in Christ and learn how to freely serve others. The community of people from RCS are still a huge part of my life.

Where are you now?

I married my husband, Nevin, on August 4th, 2012 and will graduate in May 2015 with my K-8 Elementary Teaching Certification.
